The video provides some really good tips every angler should remember when releasing a fish.
Unfortunately there are some anglers they obviously don’t care about what damage they can do to the fish while releasing it and if the fish will die or not.
To protect the fish population it is important to practice a SAFE Catch and Release.

I would caution about rocking the fish backward and forward to pass the water over the gills. Passing water over the gills backwards actually suffocates the fish. Another thing to consider in Catch and Release Fishing is to use barbless hooks.
